Can someone tell me how the Rep Points system works? I had some points a while back (no idea how I got them) and now they gone.

You most likely lost them as someone negative repped you and sent you into minus. Click on the Profile link (First one on left above notices) to see who's repped you, it'll show you which ones were positive (green) and negative (red). As a general rule to avoid getting neg rep try not to **** people off or insult/flame them and make your point in a civilised respectful manner, if you had neg repped someone maybe they returned the favour :dunno:

To give rep for a particular post look on the left below the users avatar and details and there are 3 icons, click on the middle one to give rep and select either positive or negative, it looks like a tick/cross. Practice on my post if you want
