Referring A Friend

Can someone explain to me how this referring a friend works? How do you make sure you get the points for referring that friend? When I signed up I don't recall a place to type in the friend that was referring you. I have a few adult stars that I talk to and I would like to get them on here. Any insight would be most appreciated!

They also have some kind of system so you can't make multiple accounts and get points for them.
