I'm on my third console, and aside from the laser cutting out and the drive not always reading a disc straight away and the center light blinking all the time, it works fine.

When it conks out I might just bin it and buy one with HDMI built in.

I bought mine about a year or so ago. So I think I got one of the better quality ones. Of course I've kept it ventilated since I took it out of the box. I've kept all my consoles since Super Nintendo in well ventilated areas. Hell my original PS2 still works perfect! I accredit that to having good ventilation!

Yeah, you definately need to let the 360s breathe. Mine is on top of a cabinet rather than inside it, and mine hasn't broke yet. Saying that, I have only had it for 6 months.

After the PS2 I stopped buying consoles. It seems like the more advanced they get, the more buggy.

i got mine around christmas last year, a few days short of me having it a full year, it conked out. it was in a well ventilated area and it was always in a nice cool spot. ni intercooler or anything. i gonna give it to my friend. he has this sort of Xbox 360 graveyard (17 360's, 5 his, the rest other people's). he made a shelf out of it and has his PS3 sitting on top of it. since HD is out, im going to be getting myself a PS3 for its blu ray capabilities

Never had the 3 rings on my previous Premium model or my Elite that I have had since last August or so, but I was having constant disc read errors and crashes on my Premium.

I'm on my 4th console. I don't stand it on end now, and I built it its' own shelf, so there is plenty of air flow. Pretty ridiculous.

No Halo 3 is not worth it (I own it), but there are great games for it, amazing games in fact like Bioshock. It's sad the hardware is such a letdown.

All the porn I download from BangBros and Brazzers is in WMV format which plays great on a 360, I play more porn on my console than games. Also I connect my MP3 to the console and play that music over the game music.

It's a great machine, sadly Microsoft had it made on the cheap.

I have a launch-day model and an Elite, both work perfectly. MS is also in talks to bring a Blu-Ray add on, so don't go plunking a bunch on a PS3 just yet. Mine just sits there gathering dust since there's only like 3 games for it worth playing. The Wii isn't much better.

too late. went out yesterday and bought a 80 gig PS3. dont know why people say its a whole lot more than a 360. a 80 gig PS3 is only $100 more than a 20 gig and the elite system is about the same price as the PS3. ill be happy with this for a while. especially with Call Of Duty 4 Online
