I don't know if it's BS or not but I heard through the grapevine that putting melting chocolate over the bruise and wrapping the area with gauze works too. It's legit, I read it on wiki answers. Double checked on Yahoo answers just to be sho. Also it said that Arnica cream helps flush the ***** too.

Heat tends to expedite the healing process for bruises, so the chocolate might not be a bad idea.

Rice. rest ice compression elevation hope you're feeling better

Ice would be a good treatment for pain, but that's not going to do much to heal it.

I would use some type of hydrocortizone cream. It should work within a few days.
