Recommend A Good Laptop Computer

Getting about time for me to buy a new computer to replace my big tower Dell XPS 8300. The Dell is a good computer but old enough to be replaced. I'd like to get a laptop and am considering either an Apple MacBook or a good PC. I could either buy a $2000-2500 Macbook or something significantly lower in price for a PC. Would the Macbook be worth the extra money and be the better value or is the lower cost of the PC the way to go? How invulnerable also is Apple against virus/malware/spyware attacks? I see they offer some free security software when purchasing a Macbook. I tend to have more money than brains but am wanting to acquire some smarts here so I'm wise with my money also being satisfied with my new computer. Thanks in advance.

You can't go wrong with a Macbook, but if you have never used Safari or OS X it will take a little time to break your PC habits .

As for laptop PC's, I like Sony Vaio or Samsung

I've been very happy with my Acer Aspire 5517 Win7 laptop. Almost all of my complaints are Microsoft related, only hardware related one would be speakers which are hard to hear, and that may be common with all laptops. I would suggest you wait until Win10 comes out because Microsoft helps with big discounts so the sales number are big.

My niece really enjoys her "Noria" knockoff. How about a nice Yoshiba? Or a Sonya? Michaelsoft Blinbows runs a pretty good shop.
