I knew that was going to happen.
Initially we sent him down to the AAA level so that he could work on that slider as well as re-gain his confidence on the mound, and while he still had some difficulties with lefties, we did see noticeable improvement for a period, but then he succomb to a relapse, re-continuing those old habits of his (such as consistantly getting behind in the count as well as failing to hold the runner at first). Winter ball was recommended for him, and then another season bouncing back and forth between AA ball and the Instructional League, and then after our patience had thoroughly been exhausted, we sold his contract outright to one of the Japanese team, and frankly hadn't heard much of him for some time, excepting for the occasional rumor that he had undergone something known as "Tommy Lee Surgery" (sounds like the name of a notorious assassin wanted or convicted for the murder of a high-profile victim, doesn't it?), and then finally, as it turns out, his career seemingly is over with once and for all as it is announced that he is washed up in Australia!
Cooperstown doesn't want to be bothered with!
