these are the only 2 movies i've seen in the theater in 2008. Indy 4 was a huge CGI-filled disappointment but rambo was better than i expected and had great, realistic action scenes and a good, believable story
i liked the original rambos but i didnt have the gusto to go watch this latest one. maybe it was because of the bad song they chose for the previews where that loser is counting backwards. i **** that ****.
I don't really see how you can compare them. other than being 4th movie sequels made 15 years after the last ones starring old guys. but the actual movies themselves were nothing alike.
I mean I guess I could see it being that these were the only two movies you saw this year, but maybe you should have a wider field of comparison.

I thought both movies were pretty good. I felt that Indiana Jones could have been better but it was still solid. Rambo was just plain awesome, I love all the Rambo movies.

That's a shame. Out on DVD now, you should check it out. One of the best action movies of the last 10 to 15 years. Stallone really knows how to bring back characters in a satisfying way after a long absence.
Spielberg and Lucas should have checked with Sly to see how he'd bring Indy back. Instead we get cute CG *******. WTF?
For me, Raiders of the Lost Ark is one of the best films ever. First ***** was a decent action flick. The sequels to both fell off a bit from the original. It's hard to believe the newest Rambo would be better than the newest Indy, unless one of them veers sharply from its series trends.
