He was 72. Although I never met him in person, I felt that I knew him. His mellow voice and disdain for the Clintons made the 1990s almost tolerable for me. He'd go of on weird tangents and embraced some really shitty conspiracy theories, but he presented some of the craziest stuff without judgement and it was usually pretty entertaining.

So long, Art Bell. We hardly knew ye.

Yup.. I grew up listening to him. I remember when Mel called about the hole, it was a big to do since Yakima, WA is only about an hour away from where I lived.

The hole is supposedly in part of the area where the Yakima Firing Range is (where the WA national guard drills). I asked my father, a cmd sgt major about it and he said it was bullshit. But, I think we could bring Art back! ;-)
