PS4 TV Quality Rumor

I heard the advanced graphics capabilities of the PS4 can only be seen with a special type of new TV that cost $28k, or it's the same as the PS3!! :suicide:

Anyone know if there's any truth to that?

It only has to be able to display 1080p resolution which shouldn't be too expensive these days, it is pretty common.
You might be thinking of a 4K resolution tv, which is very expensive but it is also very unlikely any PS4 games will be released that run at that level. It has 4 times as many pixels as a 1080p display.

No. F'n. Way. I was talked into buying a $28K TV as part of a bundle with my PS4. The salesperson said I also needed to buy several $200 gold plated HDMI cables (one to use, and the rest as back ups) to really get the most out of my set up.
I'm so damn  right now.

To the OP, you'll be able to see the advanced graphical capabilities of a PS4 on a standard 1080p set within a year when games like The Division come out. Stay tuned. As of now, there's still a noteable difference in graphics between the PS3 and PS4. It's just not as stark as the last generation transition was.
