print post function, who uses that?

Why is there a "print post" link at the bottom of every post? Who uses that and why? I cannot imagine a real scenario where I'd want to transfer the contents of a post onto paper. What's wrong with cut and paste?

That could come in handy for accumulating some sort of evidence, cataloging and keeping track of your friends likes and dislikes or your enemies perversions and transgressions, or sharing to other platforms, or printing to PDF instead of paper. There's a lot of potential uses.

It probably just comes with the board software, and it's just easier to leave it than try to get rid of it
