I agree with that...it would be interesting to know how many members on here cast their vote just due to who the model is or how good looking they are, and who actually looks at the picture as a whole and looks at more aspects like the models pose, lighting, background, framing, form, textures and maybe other areas I haven't said.

I know part of the selection is down to "Beauty Is In The Eye of the Beholder" but there is more to it than that for me in a whole picture

I concur with sj1 above - it's half model and half picture for me. The model is the feature of the pic, but the rest of the picture frames her. A great model can improve a not-so-great picture.

I mostly don't even try to recognize the model, unless she is either from an outstanding milestone photoshoot that I cherish, or she is such a star that recognition is just automatic.

This thread made me better as a viewer of erotic photography, and I keep looking more and more careful for every detail in these pics that can be so outstanding

I don't care who the model is I always vote for the best picture but I totally agree. Having said that some of the analysis is a bit ott and bordering on pretentious bullshit.

Changing one's vote is welcome in these tournaments. Because of the level of competitiveness among the pics, decisions are sometimes very tough. So it's perfectly okay to rethink one's view/position.

Loves Me, Loves Me Not, for me. I also liked After the Storm, but the clothing and setting are way off. Background of a casino, or cruise ship - fine. And, I liked Beauty in the Weeds, but not the airbrushing out of the nipples.. Free the nipple!! ;-)

Bullring Babe gets my vote...I like the way the whole picture is focused on the model a lot more than the others as there is minimal background giving a good juxtaposition between the model and the background. There is quite a bit of detail on the model (lighting, contrast and pose) and not much going on in the background at all (just a sand surface with a shadow, splitting the colour a bit, a red and white target spot and a red wall).

This is a well thought out picture by the photographer, the eyes of the model pretty much are dead center horizontally and also makes good use of the negative space
