oh man, that shits crazy. i have a buddy that lives in slovakia. he came up 2 years ago to hang out, he drinks that shit. he brought this really awesome drink, silovika or something. i think its a strong alcohol dervived from plums or something. good stuff.

Slivovice - pronounced "sliv-vov-vit-seh" ("e" like in "get") with the 1st syllable stressed. In some dialects and in Slovakian it is slivovica, which is pronounced the same except for the final "a" (pronounced as "u" in "duck"). I seldom drink it, but I highly recommend it - especially if you can obtain it as a home-made product.

I had a chance to travel to Prague on business. Unfortunately I didn't have much time to explore the beautiful city. I raced around in the few hours before going back to the airport. At least I got to see the grave of Tycho Brahe! The beer I came to enjoy while there was Krušovice Černé.

Going back to Prague in July and was wondering if anyone knows where the best bars and clubs are to pick girls up in a normal way and they aint whores u gotta pay for?

Cheers dafro77

We used to frequent zlaty strom (which is alright). But there's a much better club out by the airport, I just can't remeber the name. Lot's of local go there.

Haha... funny thing is I know how to get to all of the good places, but I can never remember their names. Best thing is to ask one of the younger locals... they'll know all the places.
