Postal Scam (?)

Facetious

Moderated
Before last week's 1 cent postage increase we endured a 2 cent increase,
from .39 cents to .41 cents (for about 6 months approx) to .42 cents (today)

Every time that there is a postage increase I always get stuck with a denomination of stamp greater than what is needed for the next increase ! :o
Naturally we just want to get the hell rid of these pesky odd stamps, therefore, by default, many of us are pasting a higher value than what is required. Dammit !

Also - Another complaint for you postal fellows ;)

Why are there stamps with a letter value ?
How in the hell are we joe citizen supposed to know, let alone remember what an "N" value stamp is ?

The default - The letter absolutely positively has to get to it's destination !
I cannot allow the letter to be returned for lack of postage, therefore - two "N" stamps, at a hidden value of 32 cent (hypothetically) has to be plenty of postage to get the letter to it's destination. 2 x .32 = .64 cents -> .64 - .42 =
.22 cents extra postage.
It's not that it's really a big deal me personally, however, the whole scheme reeks of fraudulent tactics. In it's current form, the author(s) of postage hikes have to understand the nature of people. Where does all of this extra revenue go ?. . . I have my theories.
A private sector entity couldn't get away with this after day 1 !, and many of you actually embrace this government to run your lives ? Fortunately I can afford different (I hope). On principle I will take no greater than my bids "unless" I receive approval from my clients. The P.O. needs to unravel the mystery !

I need clients. Many of us need the monopoly Post Office.
The private sector has to earn their clients' business. Not so for govt monopolies. :dunno:

Just wait 'till they get a hold of the "death care for everybody" scheme !

The preceding is not a personal critique of the rank and file, I assure you ;)
