I think some models have too much make-up. Yea a LITTLE make-up helps, but put too much on and it can make u look worse. Most of the time I prefer the real look of poeple.

I actually thought most of them looked pretty good (though I must admit I haven't seen much of most of them in heavy make-up). I thought Sunrise looked a lot better than usual. Tawny Roberts looked kind of odd, especially in the first picture, but the 2nd one was a lot better. The only one that I thought looked substantially worse was Tera (relatively speaking), thought that might be because of the particular picture. In any case, I'm quite sure most people on pictures with that kind of resolution and only light make-up wouldn't exactly look their best.

And Ms. Moran, I'm not sure why you don't like that picture. Maybe you don't have that glamour model/pornstar look, but a woman doesn't have to look like either to be beautiful and desirable. But ultimately, it's your decision and I suppose the results will be better for us if you're comfortable with how you look when working.
(P.S. You're one of the few women out there I actually look for.)

almost all of the shoot I have been on the people making the sites or movies request the heavy makeup even if the girls don't need it. I Have seen many girls like Jamie Lynn who comes to mind who I personally think looks better with none at all. I think the porn companies are just trying to feed the fantasies. I think alot of you guys wouldn't want to watch girls who just look like your girlfriends or wives.

Well, I have always had issues not being in makeup. I guess it is a long story but when I was growing up I was not very attractive and picked on a lot so it is like my security blanket. Sometimes life just makes you that way.

First of all, why would they do it? Because it was for a television special, on HBO I think, "real pornstars" or something... it was a lot of interviews and behind the scenes and in the end it demystified things a bit but made porn seem more negative than it really is. The pictures were shown in the closing credits. It was a documentary. It was trying to make a statement that these girls are real people. It was OK.

Secondly, why is it such a bad idea? These women are beautiful! The make-up doesn't make the girl! Some pornstars don't wear much make-up, so why is it a big deal when the ones who usually do pose without so much of it? They didn't look bad; they looked real, and real is not something which is negative in any way. The documentary was shown on HBO so it was a lot more exposure than their regular movies would give them. And mainstream exposure, too.

This was, like, the LEAST insulting post to the models... at least mcrocket didn't come out and say they looked horrendous.... others did. Or some of the poor girls anyway. Can you believe it? Those girls are amazing. Even if they looked so different, which they really don't... if they're not hot, don't buy their movies. Millions of men and women do, so they don't need your opinion on whether they are hot or not with or without make-up. They need a bigger percentage cut of their movie sales, is what they need.

Well, I took some shots this morning of the results but I will post a pic or 2 in the CrissyM/CrissyMoran thread so I don't change the subject here.... warning I still look like poop... no makup and just woke up... lol

I should be wearing my bra still and have bandages on... but they seem to look pretty good thus far.

Sometimes I don't think that people realize that the models are REAL people. lol Sure we get all dolled up and become pin ups and glam models...you CAN'T do that with out all of the lights, make up, and props. They are selling a fantasy...

I personally like to see a model more on the natural side. I LOVE make up because you can pull off SOOOOOOO many different looks with it...but I also don't have a problem just being me. A lot of the girls look different with make up (they BETTER...after paying someone 500.00 a day to make them beautiful!) But I still think a lot of them are very good looking women, and a lot of them that I know are even more attractive to me because they ARE nice people...that also happen to look great naked...and CAN look different and aren't affraid to look different in sets.

BTW Crissy....you are a cutie with or without make up I would even go so far as to say adorable

ps...I am NOT knocking anymore for sharing their thoughts and ideas.....BUT some of the models that you are talking about DO read these things. just a little FYI. Even if they ARE models (maybe even more so) reading that people think that the real you looks like something out of night of the living dead might not feel too good to them!

You do have a point there, you know. I don't mind women without make-up and I find it more attractive from time to time, but if the women in the adult industry would look, you know, normal, perhaps it would inspire more people to go for the real thing instead. Maybe not a bad idea for people in general, but certainly a bad idea for those that make money from it.
I suppose that sometimes, it's great to see the kind of ethereal beauty that makes me fall in love rather than turn me on, even if it's mostly fake and we know it.

Well, for what it's worth, your concerns are unfounded. I had a rough time growing up as well and I know it can leave scars that won't go away any time soon. I'm still fairly awkward in social situations and have problems with opening up to others. It's good to see you worked up the guts to face the problem, I'm still working on it. I'll probably not go as far as becoming a glamour model (now there's a scenario none of us would want), but resolving issues is often the healthy thing to do, even if it's hard.

I think make-up is over-rated. If Crissy or Erica walked into a grocery store from the howling winds of Chicago during the middle of winter, and their noses were bright red and runny and hair was all messy, your eyes would still widen and your jaw would still drop when you saw them. :bowdown:

Crissy, you look positively huggable in your "make-up-less" photo, as do you, Erica. And of course, you have a lot of dogs there, which is just like my house.

Too much makeup is kind of a distraction for me, actually. When I can start to see it to the point of noticing how thick it is, I think I sometimes let my attention slide away from the girl, and find myself thinking "Geez, they should scrape some of that off". Those pics of Gina Lynn come to mind.
