Pornstar Shelf Life

I was looking at the Krystal Steal thread and it seems there is a lot of debate over her questionable looks nowadays. It got me thinking though, what is the shelf life of a pornstar these days, how long is it before something goes wrong with their appearance that just snowballs?

I used to be a big fan of hers, when she first started out she was great looking, then the surgery to fix that, to fix this, a little tweak here and there etc continued and now she has this...used up look about her.

How long can a model maintain the look she started with, before something needs changing, upgrading, are there any long serving stars who havent changed a thing? If so, how many have sacrificed more than they've gained in staying ahead of the curve?

maybe instead of "maintaining the look" through surgeries and ending up like a dr frankenstein's creations, they should try to age like normal women. a lot of them would be less freakish looking.

I think it probably depends on the pornstar. Excessive plastic surgery is no good for anyone, if it wasnt obvious before it soon will be if they continue. But as the MILF market is ever growing a pornstar may no longer have to retire at 35 or whenever. Unless they break out and get into mainstream movies for example.

I'm sure if a pornstar is smart about it and make the correct choices they can continue having a career as long as they want to.

Since there is a niche for everything now days, you can retire when you want to. Plus if you take care of yourself naturally, I think in the end you will look so much better. I never understood all the plastic surgery hype.

I am a big fan of Silvia Saint. Nowadays, I believe, she's doing softcore and lesbian porn only. I don't think she ever got anything fixed and she's stunning than ever.

Staying natural is the way to go.

i'd have to say that it depends upon whether the star has natural beauty or surgical attractiveness from the start. the ones that start out surgical have a definite disadvantage. but if a star is still doing the same stuff she did 5 years ago i tend to lose some interest in her.

Plus with the accessability of porn over the past decade or so the acceptance and knowledge of more forms of pornography has increased dramatically. Intelligent business sense and knowledge of the industry should be enough to keep any pornstar that wants to in the industry as long as she likes.

Male pornstars just keep going and going.
