Never ... although I've had 2 opportunities to work in the industry ...

I don't mix porn with work. It's a recipe for disaster. Working in the defense and financial industries, with all their monitoring, would make it an issue anyway. And as a consultant, every hour I bill is every hour I should be delivering value anyway.

I've had two (2) opportunities to work in the porn industry. During my "worst years" as a consultant, I almost took one up on it. I wouldn't have had to mess with any content, I'm an enterprise infrastructure guy (network, storage, clustering, failover, hardening, load balancing, throughput, capacity planning, etc...) across many platforms, so I wouldn't have been viewing the porn itself. But in the end I couldn't bring myself to put the company name on my resume, so I didn't take the offers.

Now with that said, if you really want to work in the industry, learn LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) technologies and AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript And XML) programming approaches. If you have those skills you'll get to work on content and view all the porn you want as part of your daily job function.

One such recruiting organization that has feeds (or at least used to) into several of the "big Internet porn houses" with such skills is (or was) Hot Linux Jobs. Yes, the "Hot" part of their name is rather appropriate, dontcha think? ;)

Streaming audio and Internet bandwidth considerations ...

I can't even get on NPR at work.
Well, that's more for bandwidth considerations. Streaming audio can eat up a lot of Internet bandwidth rather quickly when its unicast (server to individual machine, multiple connections over the Internet).

Unless they are only blocking NPR but not some others. If they are only letting select through, that could be explained if they are using multicast (server to more local router, single connection over the Internet).

In general any "entertainment" at work is a waste of company resources, unless you work in the entertainment industry itself, of course. But even then you should be considerate of how you use the Internet. Reading news articles or checking deal sites are low-bandwidth. Pulling audio/visual is far, far worse.

The sluts at my office wear less than your ordinary pr0nstar (plus: they are even dumber than All-Access Annie).

... hardcore eight hours each day for me... no need for FreeOnes.

Re: What sites?

who were u offered by to be in porn??
All I'll say is that it was one of the big five (5) by Internet sales.
The name didn't stand out, unless you Google'd it, which was what I didn't want to deal with on a resume.
Regardless of the title I would have.

Sometimes, when I do webshows, I get guys who are are at work, and can't take me private because they are afraid their boss will know.

Which is funny, because their boss is in the other office playing with me in the very same chat room, and he is often the one who will take me private.

Guess it pays to be the boss huh? :D

Nope. It's totally blocked and I will get canned quicker than you can unzip your fly.
