Police: He's not racist, he was just having "a really bad day"

Woman Who Fought Back During Attack to Donate Nearly $1M Raised for Her to Combat Anti-Asian Racism

https://www.npr.org/2021/03/24/9807...ttacker-with-a-board-donates-nearly-1-million

In a follow-up to this, that Asian grandma's family raised almost $1M for her hospital bills through gofundme, and she donated the money. Just awesome.
Also, apparently the guy had just assaulted an elderly Asian man just prior to trying his luck again with this grandma.

You can also see the aftermath of attack and police holding her back here:

Sunlight is the best disinfectant. These fuckers need to be exposed and incarcerated. Post the mug shots or show the head inside the basket.

Here's another one. No mug shot yet but one is coming. Hopefully these attacks stop or this thread will turn into a photo album.

The hotel suspended the employees that just stood there and watched, and even shut the door on her. I mean, they outnumbered the guy 3 to 1 (and possibly more off-camera), and they couldn't even try to chase the guy off or help her after the attack??
Seriously, what the fuck.

Agreed. The attack was right in front of the door. Those 3 guys could have chased him away.

Some good news, at least. Brandon Elliot has now been arrested and charged with a hate crime. Brandon killed his momma with a knife years ago so no one can produce any cap 'n' gown pics. Brandon has definitely violated his parole and will be sentenced to crawl back under the rock he crawled out from under which is the penitentiary. Hope he suffers and is housed behind enemy lines. He gave a brutal beating a poor little lady from The Philippines who was on her way to Church during Holy Week.

Even on the subway attack everyone was just watching it happen based on the picture here. What a world.

This begs a question: Why he was roaming the streets of NYC? He got 15-to-life for killing his mom in 2002 and was paroled in 2019.

NYPD Commissioner: "What I said this morning about this particular case was, for the life of me, I don't understand why we are releasing or pushing people out of prison, not to give them second chances but to put them into homeless facilities, or shelters or in this case a hotel, and expect good outcomes out of that. We need real opportunities, we need real safety nets, we need to work with nonprofits and hold them accountable and replicate the ones that are successful. But just pushing people out, and to think that we're doing them a good deed, I think is misguided. "

In this case, I would suggest he would have better off being left in prison.

The employees either did not care or agreed with the assholes actions. Or maybe just plain old fashioned cowards.

If you consider yourself any kind of man I would think it would be more difficult to do nothing than to involve yourself to protect a woman who was taking a beating.

The only, only thing I could think of any reason to not get physical may be the hotel policy on their security guards. I've worked for my share of scumbags who would want me to keep my hands in my pockets even if someone attacked me. Their own liability was all they cared about. I've always been more the insubordinate type. I actually got fired once for putting the wrong VIP's head through a hardwood door then throwing him down the stairs after he bit one of our girls on the fanny.

Here I go again bringing up Ancient Times. When I was a boy we watched and were taught that the Strong protected the weak. At that time that included Women, Children, and animals. A man who beat a woman was a coward, pure and simple. I know times have changed and women are not just pictures on a wall(nor were they ever). The point is that the part about bullies is still pertinent. Even if the employees weren't able to touch the asshole, they still could have called 911 and taken his picture and screamed at him. So I stand behind what I said.

You and me were were raised in the same way just like many other American boys.

My mother was a West Texas farmer lady and would have intervened on the subway herself slapping that skinny burnt match looking boy's face silly and pinballed the fucker all over the subway car. Her right cross was way better because she hit like a man.

Dino I can picture your Momma doing just that. I suspect all of us from a "certain" age had women who could and did make the men listen and listen good. I understand my Grandmother on my Mom's side had a big cast iron frying pan for such conversations.

Women from Texas like to fight a lotta lotta. When I worked bars and nightclubs there I was 100% worthless breaking up fights between Redneck girls. I can't hit or even grab a woman. I may have tripped a few in the interest of peace.

I apologize telling stories about being a doorman but I'm not the type of fella they hire to sell cosmetics at Bloomingdale's. Everybody talks about their jobs.

West Texas hill country? In his ongoing LBJ bio, Robert Caro wrote a great narrative about the hill country women. They were tough because they had to be.
