Could be. The first ***** I was ever served was by my grandmother when I was like 13. A Gin and Tonic. I didn't start having issues with the firewater until probably 23/24.

Yeah, my sisters ex was an exchange student to Germany and his homestay would give him jiggers if he ever had a stomach ache. But I can't say that Germany aren't a bunch of drunkards, despite if you can see over the stool you can be served there. :1orglaugh
I feel ******** depends on the maturity level. That's why the young tend to ***** for the effect/high rather than simply enjoying it and having the buzz as a delightful add on. As one gets older they tend to enjoy the flavor, scent, and still the buzz, but not to the point they are getting smashed.
Of course there are alcoholics from 13 all the way up to 80-year-olds. It all falls down on why are ******** in the first place. People make many excuses to do reckless things in life and ******** is the easiest thing to do.

Well, you know, with the economy and all....
Man, AA can be a really painful experience. It's like, let's all sit and have a group hug as we listen to guys who throw everything in their sorry existence away for *****. I was ****** to do that **** after my d-dub. Ugh. Never again.
AA? Why? cos he went out & got *****? Typical yank overreaction. . .
Sometimes the AA racet is court ordered. It was for me. MADD was an atrocious experience as well. Those women are ruthless.
