PlayStation 3 Third Party (Generic) Controller Recommendations

Looking for a an extra controller for the PS3 in case an occassional guest wants in on a multi-player game, but don't have the money to spend on a true Sony controller.

Any personal recommendations?

Based off my experience from third party controllers I recommend being patient and saving a little extra to get a Sony controller. They're $45 right now on amazon

Maybe getting a sweet game with the controller can help justify spending the money?

Madcatz is hit or miss with their stuff. Afterglow makes a good wired if you don't mind that and it's only $25 at Walmart. Cool controller too. A lot of people prefer it to the DS3.
