I don't give a **** about Playboring. There are much better centerfolds on the net, and for free on this board.
Also, if Hef dies all that is left is a pack of uncoordinated bunnies - and they will run around and **** all over the Playboy Mansion until they die from starvation. He's the sole alpha male and the entire business sorta relies on him. But like I said, the age when Playboy was interesting belongs to the past.
The guy made some pioneering work for his time though.

Yeah, without playboy who knows where porn might have originated and in what form. Had Larry Flynt been the first pioneer of porn maybe it would have been too gruesome and extremely scandalous for America circa 1955 and porn would have been outlawed regardless of any 1st amendment rights. I think Playboy sort of eased America into accepting pornography into the mainstream and not just as something you get from an "underground" source.
The people in Playboy are starting to look better than almost all the people in porn anymore, just like in the past. Besides that, one of the worst things about loosing Playboy would be the loss of all the attractive yet classy women that appear in it. I would **** to think nice beautiful classy nude pictorials would start to disappear as the mindless more hardcore stuff, usually with less attractive people, is the only thing left.
And before people start stating otherwise, no, all those women won't go into harder stuff if things like Playboy aren't around anymore, and with even a handful that do most of them won't go hardcore. The overwhelming majority of them just won't do it at all if that's the case.

Really wasn't a ig playboy fan from the start but I would not think they would be going broke:dunno:
As a one time british reader (I bought one copy and that was enough to know it was ****) I dont really care if it goes under. Its being eclipsed now by bigger, better and cheaper online. I have a few special editions though, simply bought through reason of a few favourite models having had shoots (I cant despite the quality they had). But when a high majority of the girls in one SE are ridiculously airbrushed. (One of Erica Campbell to the point she looked like a badly morphed barbie!) Its lost its appeal altogether, plus the fact that it tried to pass itself as a brand name is kinda pathetic.

I'm all for bailing them out. If the tax payers (i.e. me) own Playboy, that means the mansion will be fair game! I know what I'll be doing for my birthday! :nanner:

too bad about playboy going downhill tho it's a fairly historic magazine. however, even rome fell and nothing escapes the arrow of time.
the business is - and has been for years - run by his ********. he is little more than the corporate mascot.
i wouldn't mind seeing them go away, and take all their fake smiles and fake attitudes with them.
I would miss Playboy for the sole reason that Playboy is the ONLY magazine where you can see 'certain' people in the buff where normally you wouldnt be able to see them.

Thats the results of capitalism and free trade with competition. Bailouts will just encourage more of the same.
Maybe Playboy might provide better porn to stay viable WITHOUT a bailout!

I'd be really sad if they went out of business. I had a great time shooting with them last year and they are a really great and professional group of people working there. Hopefully they can weather the storm because you can't beat the playboy brand in the adult industry!
