Peyton Manning goes from Colts to Broncos; decides on Denver

Per Chris Mortensen of ESPN, Peyton Manning has made his decision ... and he's taking his talent to the Mike High City. Mort reported that Manning had advised agent Tom Condon to wrap up negotiations on what is believed to be a five-year, $95 million offer. The belief is, according to multiple reports, that the Broncos will now try to trade quarterback Tim Tebow.
An expanded report from Mortensen and Adam Schefter indicates that Manning called Broncos VP of Operations John Elway on Monday morning to inform him of the decision. Manning also called the San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans, the other two teams in the running for Manning's services, to inform them.
Manning threw for Elway and a large group of Broncos and executives and coaches on Friday in North Carolina, and Elway was impressed.
"We enjoyed visiting with Peyton today in N.C.," Elway tweeted on Friday. "He threw the ball great and looked very comfortable out there. Watching him throw today was the next step in this important process for our team and Peyton. It was a productive visit and went well

Nice! I didn't think we had the appeal to get him, but I'm glad he chose the Broncos.

Looks like we're also going to get rid of Tim Tebow... another good move.

Now lets get some free-agents.

God must think their quarterback last year was a total piece of shit to allow something like this to happen.

Actually, it makes perfect sense. I don't think that he really wanted to stay within the division. He goes to a fairly weak division that can be had. The NFC is stacked so even going to the 'Niners wasn't going to be an easy road to the Super Bowl. In the playoffs he won't have to go against Eli unless they both get to the Super Bowl. And, as a Vol he gets to stick it to a Gator.

A fourth and a sixth round draft pick? All god's QB is worth is a fucking fourth and sixth? Imagine how much he would have pulled in had he the ability to throw and not get sacked.

Tebow to the NYJ makes absolutely no sense to me. I don't think it benefits Tebow, Sanchez or the Jets. They've now created a QB controversy for themselves and thats almost never a good thing for a football team.

I have mentioned this on previous threads, who knows if Manning is ever going to be the same, since his injury. Josh McDaniels is back over here in New England. As for Tebow the best fit for him would be Jacksonville.

Agreed. Sanchez already has fragile confidence and as soon as he struggles the fan chants for Tebow will be deafening. Maybe the Jets are hoping that Sanchez will help Tebow become a better QB and Tebow will help Sanchez become a better person
