I pay for some, I don't for others.
Several factors that make me decide if I join a website etc:
- Is it userfriendly? Are there just online picture viewers or the videos so big that they eat up way too much harddrive space? If they have downloadable magazines, like Private, can I get them as a zip or page per page?
- Is it offering high-quality pictures? I don't like foggy 400x600 pixel postcards.
- Does it offer a good intern search engine that allows me to quick find exactly the stuff I am interested in? There are large Networks like Deluxe Pass with loads of sites that don't have that. And they don't hand over the login, when I surf thru, I have to enter the log-in data all the time. Check PornPassForAll, now, that is organized and has really highgloss pix!!!

I pay for two reasons. First and foremost, I love pornography and wish to support the studios and performers that I like. If nobody paid, then the producers would go out of business, now wouldn't they.
Furthermore, there is just no substitute for the quality of paid content, both in terms of members-only websites (but beware many are sub-par, read your reviews first!) and nothing holds a candle to DVD (and I can only imagine how awesome blu-ray is).

I don't subscribe to big sites. But if there's a girl whose look I enjoy, and who runs a good site... and she seems like someone who's fun to converse with... sure. I think of it like giving a tip. She's making an effort to present something I like, so I feel like I should give her something for that. In any given month, I might join one or two sites.
