Outfits and Clothes Directory

Hi everyone,

I'm just trying something. As I have several threads with topics like "this or that kind of outfit", I wasn't very happy to post them in the "Find your favourite babe" section, but I did not see anything better. I've seen an "Outfits" section on other boards, so I thought of writing a small directory to help those who are not looking for a specific model, but for a certain kind of outfit.

Just don't pay too much attention to this thread. I'm just trying out different methods and layouts. Comments and suggestions, of course, are welcome.

Let's see if I can develop what I have in mind...

I know, and it's the search function who lead me to most of the threads I was looking for. I just thought it would be nice to have similar links all at one place.

And it would be a way to keep my signature short - just a link to the directory instead of naming all threads. This was the second reason why I was experimenting with such a post. I'd like to have a nice image signature instead of text links, but with a link to this directory.

There has been a suggestion several months ago to subdivide the FYFB-section into "Babes" and "Fetishes". But it hasn't materialized.

You know when you join one of them boards that have just one section for general talk, one for videos, one for help and maybe one for pictures. You sit there wishing they had more. Well it also works in reverse too...

It's like now when I post a link to a picture. I often post it with more than one model in it. Now that brings up the question where to post it. Which models thread? Or should that be models threads? Or every model in the pictures threads. Which would bring up another problem for one picture I could post with 20 glamour models in it. Not only would I have to post it in the 14 threads of the models who already have a thread. Then also start 6 more threads too. Is this getting complicated?

Yes, and this is what happens when there are too many sections. You have a thread to post but don't know which one of the multiple sections to post it in. So whichever you post it in someone will say it should have been somewhere else. Then there is the if so then maybe I should post it in all the sections it would fit into. Which creates more work for the mods to delete them all but one. Which gives them the then question which one should it be in.

Notice this is going round in circles?

Hence why the search function is there. To keep less but just enough sections. But still make it easy enough to find what you want.

Having just the FYB and Id section is just right IMO.

You definitively have a point there. That's why I sometimes post a gallery twice that shows two models - once in each model's thread. You are right, more sections could be counterproductive and I agree with you.

That's why I thought that just a thread and not a complete new section could help for the ones who like it. Just as my private hobby, in a manner of speaking.

Perhaps I'll keep something like this single post that I'll modify by answering to it and then linking to it in my signature.

Here's another problem.

Take tattoo's you'll soon be having to sub-section them. lower back, right arm, left buttock, both breasts, etc. This also goes for underwear...thong, French knickers, full, high cut, etc and so on with others.

Again where do you stop and how do you manage this all in one thread?

Oh, as it would be my thread I would have the choice either to keep sections simple or expand sections I like more.

It just started with my wanting to make a categorised overview of my own threads as they don't fit all in my signature. But when I started my bikini bottom threads I thought it might be useful for visitors to add a few bikini threads made by other members in the first post of each thread so that they can find more if they want.

That's how the idea grew in my mind. But you are right, I would definitively have to limit directory entries.

Ah another point: It's true that you find nearly everything you want by using the search function. But I have found many interesting clothing links just by browsing the FYFB main thread listing - I did not even know that they existed, and I wouldn't have searched for them - but I wouldn't like to do without them now.

Really interesting to hear your opinions...

We've said this countless times before. There aren't going to be any new forums or sub-forums. Poggy seems to have hit the nail on the head, so I won't say more.

We've had suggestions for a music forum, a sports forum, a ___________ fill in the blank forum. Most of which were great ideas for a new forum and all fit nicely in a forum that's already here.

a) in order to group links in the way I like

This directory is for members looking for special outfits or styles. Sometimes the search function delivers so many results that it's difficult to find a thread, and sometimes misspellings or different notations lead to unsatisfying results. I tried to label each directory entry with different tag versions if necessary.

This directory does not claim to be complete or official. It's just my personal taste and preferences that led to this compilation. Perhaps it can be helpful to avoid double threads too.
