I think the biggest "race issue" is the fact that everything, absolutely everything, seems to be made into a race issue.
When a white police officer shoots and/or kills a black suspect, all you ever hear about or see is "White police officer shoots black man." Why? Why is skin color the main topic of conversation? Why aren't the meaningful facts every discussed or put on the forefront? For instance, what was the suspect doing? Was there cause or justification for the shooting? Was there a struggle or physical altercation between the two parties? What is the history and service record of the officer? Etc.
Instead, race is the focus, not the important stuff.
Why? Because, racism has pulled a 180 (in this country - USA - anyway). Instead of people NOTICING racism when it happens and trying to end it, people are now LOOKING FOR racism even though it's not there and trying to make it a problem.
