Not much of a drinker but I'd definitely go with *****.

Gin.

While it is an "acquired taste" for some...this is a no contest for me.

I prefer above all Bombay Sapphire, then Tanqueray Ten or Old Raj. Bare, "on the rocks".

Lesser gins I use for Martinis (unbruised) even "dirty" or Gimlets.

^^Agreed, Cognac is better - it's more 'warming' also (is that the right word??)

cognac, hardy's XO if possible. like caramel.

***** is only good when mixed with other things, by itself the taste kinda sucks. i tried cosmopolitan (too sweet for me), and ***** with pear juice, but i forgot the brand. probably smirnoff. was acceptable, but i still prefer cognac.

Cognac is the best tasting ****** of all IMO and only rivaled by a good, single malt Scotch for taste.

However, in terms of being better (for you) clear ****** is better on your kidneys.
