Ong-Bak: anyone seen this movie?

This movie is totally boss,A friend of mine bought it a couple of months back and we watched it with total amazement . . . . Sure the story line is a little Jean Claude Van Dammish . . But the Muay Thai fighting is the highlight of the wHole freaking movie...That and the "On Foot Chase" sceen are fucking marvelous....

A great action film from Thailand,And i recommend it highly

Awesome flick! I've had it for a while. I bought a Thai video cd of it (not great quality though) and watching Tony Jaa pull off the moves he does is  . I'm getting the DVD next week. You folks should check it out; it's not terrible but Laibach is right, don't watch it for the story.

If any of you like these kind of flicks he's got another movie called Tom Yum Goong coming out. Check out the trailers (especially Trailer #1, whoa).

ONG-BAK

After reading this thread i thought i should watch this film.

It is done. A great martial art quest in Thailand, and an accurate image of its social context.

Excellent !

Thanks for this thread.

I gues other asian movies have better fight scenes.
But there is some knee and elbow work I've never seen before.
Not a really great story, but the ass kicking works great so the story doesn't realy matter.
By the way, the golfcar chase is also great.
