Iron Maiden is metal:1orglaugh I've been into them since Paul Di'Anno right through to Blaze Bayley and Bruce Dickinson. Harris the rock of there band and bassist been there since starts with changes to drummer and guitarists leaving, coming back etc.

They truly rock as in Brave new world there 2000 album is one of my favourites this is why I give a brief history for I have listened to it all. I even thought Dance of death pawned these guys are truly the real deal.

Not sure if most hardcore guys would consider them "metal", but Alice in Chains has morphed and even without Lane (RIP), they kick ass. I have tickets to see them in March, can't wait for the show!:banger:

I class Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeath & their kind of style as metal. As good as Iron Maiden are, listening to them, I see them as a hard rock band & no where near as heavy as those bands I listed. I guess its because I only started hearing rock & metal 20 years ago when I was about 10 or 11.
The first Maiden song I heard was Bring Your Daughter...To The Slaughter when it was released.
