I think the Members who pick the "loser" team must be publically shamed somehow...what say all you Giants hopefuls...when the confetti has finished falling from the sky and the Patriots are drunk off of all that champagne...you all have to post "I am Tom Brady's Beeyatch" in your siggys?? And if the Giants pull off the miracle....we Pats backers will post something in our sigs.

I do have one question on this...
Why are both the BBC and Sky both billing it as the biggest show on earth?
Hold on that's just it. It's a show, because it not the biggest watched sporting event in the world. Both the World Cup Final and FA Cup are watched by more, to name just two.

Poggy I'm surprised you're the last to catch on. The NFL has paid off the Beeb and Skysports (isn't that owned by Murdoch) to pimp the NFL in England and Europe. The NFL is going to start playing games in England every year. Next year you guys actually get a decent matchup...New Orleans Saints and San Diego Chargers (I think)....
Just as YOU are being assimilated into the NFL....AMERICA is being dragged and kicked along into Soccer Appreciation...as we see more games and highlights on ESPN and soon we'll see all those American-owned EPL teams coming over here in early August to play MLS teams...
They've tried to sell it over here twice before and failed. The problem been it's too stoppy and just a game of rugby for wimps. As you'll find most Brits view it. It seems to be one of them things that teenagers look at but soon grow out of it here.
Another thing the Brits don't understand is this moving teams around the country. One minute it's in LA the next it's sold to another city completely. If they wanted a team then they should have started their own and tried to get it into the thing themselves from scratch. Although this is something the foreign owners are bringing into British football. Merging or actually moving a team to somewhere they don't have one. Example been Wimbledon FC who was moved out of London to Milton Keynes and became the MK Dons. Although the fans of Wimbledon started their own team when that happened called Wimbledon AFC and are trying to get the team through the non-league to the professional ranks. So in a way the original club still exists.
The BBC is showing this for the first time ever in the none sat, cable companies. As Channel 4 had it for the last 20 odd years. But this just shows how bad the BBC has become for sport. As they've took a thing that got in it's best times 2 million viewers. At least they've tucked it away on BBC2. I bet that's BBC 3 or 4 next year when they get the figures back. Sky are doing there usual over kill starting the build up 3 and half hours before it begins.
The football season over here starts at the begining of August. So I think if any are going over there it will be July during pre-season training. When they play friendly games to get match practice for the coming season. This is something I'm waiting to see too. As Liverpool currently American owned have had the same pre-season for years. Start playing two teams near them Crewe and Wrexham. Then off to Asia before either playing a couple more back home or a small friendly competition in Europe. I'll be interested to see if like Man Utd did last summer they goto the States instead of one of them.

There's a reason I never go into the NFL thread. Because it's like someone going into the football (soccer) thread. They tend not to discuss the matter fully when you don't quite see what they see in it. Hasn't this been proven around other threads on these sporting subjects.

A draw is not possible.They will play in OT till someone scores.First team to score in OT wins(sudden death we call it lol).
I know that, but has one ever finished so they had to do OT. Because if it was a match over here the bookies pay out on the score at full-time 90 mins and not the extra time score.
Hence why I said 0-0 draw.
Nope never been OT in the super bowl,close a few times but never happened.And btw the game is 60 min of playing time although that takes 2 1/2 hours at least.Here is the wik link on the bowl,
