Canucks VS. Dallas went into the 4th OT and the wee hours of this morning. what an awesome game it was. Dallas deserved to win, by the way that they outplayed Vancouver. But Vancouver won by pure luck as usual
WE have been riding the Luongo wave all year long......... we were outshot, but bottom line is it was a great game, Dallas did deserve a better fate, but you make the argument that Van BLEW 3 different leads.
both goalies looked better as the game went on..... should be a great series...felt "bad" for the Dallas players...but that is sports
ah and both teams hit he crossbar in the OT. Dallas couldn't score on a 5 on 3 in OT......

They went to a 4th overtime? Wow, I fell asleep early in the first OT. That game started at 10 eastern and must have ended later than the Pens - Flyers 5 overtime game awhile back.

Yep,be quick a turn around though. Back to raise hell in the playoffs next season. I have no respect for Patricia Forsberg. He was never going to commit to staying about staying in Philly. His whole in the lineup/out of the lineup act was getting old. The Flyers got 2 quality prospects and 2 picks in the upcoming draft for damaged goods.
My impersonation of Patricia goes something like this : Coach my skate doesn't fit right and my foot feels loose. I can't play tonight. I can't take part in the shootout cause my sticks don't seem right. :weeping:
With around 20mil under the salary cap a couple teams will see their players in orange and black once free agency opens in July.

i want leclair back. and dejarsdin too. primeau is still there right?
Leclair was supposed to have had signed a contract so he could play the last few games of the season and then retire as a Flyer. Don't know what happened to that plan. Primeau retired back in October due to post concussion problems. I think there's only 3 or 4 players left from the 2004 club. Kapanen,Pitkanen,Gagne,and Esche althought he's likely gone in a couple months.

Loss of Primeau is what really did it. I'm pretty ok with them not being around for the playoffs this year. They'll be back soon enough. With the trades they made previous to the deadline this year they added more speed and a couple good young d-men for next season and they picked Marty Biron from Buffalo to play goal. We'll see what happens on draft day and when free agency opens on July 1st. Flyers don't rebuild. They just reload.
