OCSM of the Month Contest Starting September 17th! Who will it be?

Finally! We've got a monthly contest just for the OCSMs!

On Monday, Sept 19th, members with 50+ posts will be able to nominate an Official Checked Star Member to participate in the contest!

This can be the member's favorite OCSM, the one they think has posted the most, interacted the best, or is just dead sexy! Only OCSMs that have posted during the month will be eligable for the voting phase of the contest!

Then, on Monday Sept 26th, the 10 OCSMs who managed to get the most nominations will be entered into a week long poll so that everyone with 5 or more posts can vote for the OCSM of the Month!

The girl with the most votes at the end of the week will win the prestige of being the September OCSM of the Month AND she'll earn a guarenteed spot in the Best OCSM category of Miss FreeOnes 2012!

So stay tuned! The OCSM of the Month nomination thread will be posted here in FreeOnes Talk on the 17th!

Q. Can you nominate more than one OCSM at a time?
A. No, 1 per member. If you have several favorites, the next will have to wait until the next contest.

Q. What does guaranteed spot mean? Aren't all OCSMs eligible for the Best OCSM category in Miss FreeOnes?
A. Not in 2012. There will be a limited number of spots available for the Best OCSM category in the next Miss FreeOnes competition. Winning OCSM of the Month is one way to be guaranteed a spot.

Q. How many spots will there be in the Best OCSM category for the 2012 Miss FreeOnes contest?
A. To be decided, but less than 100 and we're almost to 500 OCSMs.

Q. Will this be a contest that continues to run every month or is it just for Miss FreeOnes 2012?
A. It's my intention that it runs every month. This is separate from Miss FreeOnes, one of the prizes just happens to offer a spot in Miss FreeOnes right now.

Q. Can an OCSM win more than 1x in a year?
A. No. An OCSM can only be OCSM of the Month 1x in a year.

Q. What happens if I act like an ass in this thread or any of the contest threads?
A. Your post will be deleted. If you continue to act like an ass, you may be given infractions until you decide to simply not post in the contest threads.

If you have more than 1 OCSM you'd like to see become OCSM of the month, you'll have to wait until the next month to nominate her!

Nope, not for the 2012 contest. I haven't decided exactly how the OCSMs that will get in the category will be picked yet, but there will be a limited amount of spots.

All the other categories will be open for whomever qualifies though, but the OCSM category is special. :nanner:

Well, given that the 17th is a SATURDAY, I'm not clear when the contest will start. Maybe it's just Saturday in the US, but it's actually Monday in Europe. :dunno:

Quite frankly, I'm sick to death of all the catering to OCSM's.
Many of them are outstanding members here, others are lecherous, here only to garner attention and votes in contests that normally would be beyond their grasp.



Sucking up and the like make me quite prone to ignore and/or speak unfavorably of those that engage in that sort of tactic!
