Obama is not a "real" black President

the race is not an issue but as a president, he is doing a lot of mistakes and the hype of his campaign was based on promised unreachable marvels/objectives that were and still are absolute bullshit

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. The administration's recent brief on the Miranda Act ruling shows that this administration isn't about change at all. But I've been saying that since 2008.

I don't blame Obama. I blame the voters who thought he could make a difference. Obama said what he said to get elected. As much as it insulted my intelligence at times, I don't blame him. I blame the American public.

And as far as whether he is "black," I don't think that's the consideration. Although it is true that he has virtually no family history that has anything to do with the struggles of the African-American from slavery through civil rights, that's still besides the point.

He was elected. He is our (US citizens) civilian President. End of story.

Much ado about nothing. Maher is a political humorist so it's not like it was a "serious" commentator like Keith Olbermann or Sean Hannity.

I must admit, I don't know why Obama is taking so long to respond.

If it were me, I'd have used the crisis to seize all of BP's rigs that threaten our coastline, and appropriate all that fuel for the American people.

Straight up hijack their oil . . . but is just me.

But that wouldn't be letting the market correct itself.

You cannot allow the state to meddle in the markets affairs! It's against nature!

Thankfully it's just you.

Well his dad was black, so I'd assume he got his dad's package. So much for the "all black men..." myth(s). I wonder if/when an intern scandal will ruin him, however. His dad was a womanizer, afterall. :D

Slightly off topic, but I have sometimes wondered why Obama is thought of as black much more than he's thought of as bi-racial. It just seems people define him in a way that suits their needs above what is sometimes reality.

Blacks will see Obama as Black when he does something good.............and they'll label him White when he fails.

It's the skin color. For some reason some people don't like to think that bi-racial people come in different skin tones other than a light one. If they're the same color as Obama then they are black. If they're the same color as Mariah Carey then they're bi-racial.

Then on top of that some people think of bi-racial as only being a black & white thing which is ridiculous. It's like, hello if a Mexican man and a Chinese woman had a child what do you think the child would be. Actually you know what's more ridiculous, how about defining people by their skin color. Now that's ridiculous.

He's black cause society says he is ,thats the way it works. Most people are a mix but again what you look like (or more importantly what others determine by looks you look like racially is the key).Lots of blacks have white ancestors along the way but that doesn't stop them from being defined as black.Shit Al Sharpton not to long ago found out he was probably related to Strom Thurmond the white segregationist whose ancestors were slave holders.

"Indirect familial relation to Strom Thurmond
In February 2007, genealogists using the website Ancestry.com discovered that Sharpton's great-grandfather, Coleman Sharpton, was a slave owned by Julia Thurmond, whose grandfather was Strom Thurmond's great-great-grandfather. Coleman Sharpton was later freed during the Civil War.

Thurmond was notable as the longest serving Senator (at the time of his death) who was a major advocate of racial segregation during the middle of the twentieth century.[26] Thurmond's illegitimate daughter, Essie Mae Washington-Williams, stated she would welcome Sharpton to the family if a DNA test shows he is a relative.[27] In an interview, Sharpton said he has no plans for the DNA test to see if he is related.[11]

The Sharpton family name originated with Coleman Sharpton's previous slave-owner, who was named Alexander Sharpton.[28]"

Al knows who and what he is and don't need no stinking DNA test or to be welcomed into the Thurmond family.
