If they're gonna police where these vids are posted, maybe they should better police the sh*t people post about videos on their own site. Some of that stuff would get you banned here.

Hmm...maybe we should institute YouTube like policies around here. A thread gets reported so many times and it's deleted and the user banned without a real human even looking at it.

Joking, joking...

Pfft...I thought that was already the current method for your polic-e enforcers.

The 64 thousand euro question though now, does FOs references at youth-ube now come up as ********* or the (in)famous wtfwtfwtfwtfwtfwtf???:anonymous

Not that I agree with YouTube, because though I respect their right to decide what content to and not to host, I believe they are likely overreacting anymore. However, I believe there is a fairly simple explanation for their "new" attitude concerning anything "risque". I believe they are trying to branch out, just as their parent company Google (owns YouTube) is, so it can become a bigger player in the whole online entertainment and media market (I mean more and more people are turning toward the Net for viewing programs as opposed to watching them in the traditional fashion...on television). Obviously they are already trying to make money from advertising at the beginning of videos. But, they are also trying to form partnerships with other media outlets (television networks for example) to air various programs. Soooo, since they are getting their hands into many different things, they don't want anything to rock the newly formed partnerships. So, they are getting anal about anything remotely "risquee" on their site (out of a fear of losing a new or potentially new partner and or advertiser). In short, it's not so much reports from users as it is them being afraid of their shadow as YouTube evolves and moves forward....if that makes sense.

I understand that what was on the FreeOnes channel and what Jinxy had up was, let's face it, fairly innocent as "risque" things go, but the fact remains that both did/do have the overt "porn connection," and like I said, YouTube obviously has become anal and/or afraid of their shadows when it comes to such things, and does not want to be seen as associating with the adult entertainment industry in ANY fashion.

Like I said, this is not a justification of their position, only a reasonable explanation. They are obviously trying to evolve from a user driven site, into a site that hosts content from major media outlets. :2 cents:

One thing about Dailymotion though is that you can't embed their videos. Still, they don't have to adhere as much to copyrights and content regulations, so if youtube doesn't have a clip of something for some BS reason you are more likely to find it there.

Wonder why they're keeping my vlog page, then? :dunno:

Shhhhhh....:1orglaugh

(Right now, some ninny is reading your post then running back to youth-ube and reporting your vlog....).

YouTube's changed a lot since back when but I'm still not leaving... even this and all my former friends who have gone missing don't take away from the greatness it contains if you can find it.

This truly sucks though.
