If daytime I clean house, sort old mail, rearrange stuff lol and read. If night I read by flashlight and then sleep.

I'll get nekkid and take a nice long shower with my girlfriend...yum!

Yeah, the internet has taken over from the girlie mags...all very well until the power goes off.
In the old-days, it was a girlie mag under the duvet with a shaky torch in one hand and Mr penis in the other.

The downside was you did have to be careful where those burning sparks landed.

If its light, or i have enough lighting from flashlights then do puzzles, or read. Go outside and shovel the driveway (winter) or do something outside. Or you could always go somewhere that has power a friends or a resturant.

Anyways, why cant you drive?

And then what do you do at the moment of truth? Drop the torch? Drop the mag? Shoot all over the place?

There used to be more planning needed.

Nikkala made me do it!
What you do is ... you get up now ... get up out of your chair ... get up and go to the window ... open it ... stick your head out ... and yell ...

I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GONNA TAKE THIS ANYMORE!

Try living in Florida!

We average several days per year without electricity. If we're lucky, it's not even a day straight. But it's not unheard of to be without power several days if anything comes close enough.

It depends on what I have to do: If I need to do some laundry, wash my hair (wearing long hair I need to dry them with a hair dryer) or iron a shirt or trousers, I'll be MAD!!!
Otherwise, one day without electricity is not too bad (however annoying) to me - much worse is a day without warm water - its supply is regularly interrupted for several days every year in the summer here in Prague (due to the maintenance of the mains), which always makes me FURIOUS!!!

We used to have a bar in our neighborhood that had emergency power generators. So...we got drunk.

knows petras secret: she farted.
i like it when the power goes out. im one of those kinda guys though. i want to left in the middle of the woods someday.

When my kids were young, there was a period of time when the power'd go out pretty frequently. I'd fire up the back up generator and hook up the outdoor lights... .and my kids, the neighbor's kids and any kid who wandered over would play b-ball or box football. Usually the Dad's would referee while the Mom's chatted and cheered.... while the dogs and cats and other assorted furry creatures ran here, there, everywhere :D

Now, the power doesn't go out as much - so the wife and I usually just make some coffe/cocoa and cuddle. :lovecoupl

Sometimes, we'll go over some old picture albums and reminisce. :)

Or break out the deck chairs and just gaze at the stars....

Sure lead an exciting life, don't I? :1orglaugh

When I was younger, my parents used to light a bunch of candles and make me play board games. Sure, I hated it at the time...but I kind of miss it now. :crying:

A recent outage where I live, knocked out 3000 homes. I went for a walk, then sat around. It was off for 8 hours!
