I can't believe that tattoo... the forearm one was an eyesore enough.... I'm very very sorry to say that she's come down a notch in my book. That new one is ..... terrible.

It was probably done after since it's a Phoenix and he reborns, kinda like what she experienced, I suppose.

I agree, though, she was better off without it.
I get what it stands for, I think, but couldn't she do something smaller and more subtle?

I know what a Phoenix is and what is (can) symbolize. (I've also been to Phoenix many many times....:D)
