Jon I know you and I both have battles with insomnia at times. I'm sorry to hear that yours was plaguing you last night. Oh but thank you so much for assisting me on that side project. You have NO IDEA how much that helped me especially with all of the time I've been spending on legal stuff and how far I fell behind in work. That will help me get caught up quicker. As for Horror films. I strongly recomend
This is a very good movie. It's a about a preacher who is going to show a TV crew how his exocisims are faked. That's until things begin happening that even he can't explain. The perfromances are all top notch and the use of the single camera is quite effective. I just wish the last ten minutes were better
I'm not going to say too much about this flick because the less you know the more enjoyable it is. But I consider "Audition" a horror masterpeice.

"Dogtooth" is the perfect example of home schooling gone bad. THis tale envoles a family who have kept their kids isolated from the outside world for over 20 years. It is one of the most weridest movie ever nominated for an Oscar, but it is something you will never forget. You can watch this on netflix streaming right now

Just like with "Haunting," this is more of a psychological horror film, as opposed to gore based.
Somewhere earlier in this thread, I "reviewed" " "Last Exorcism" & you and I DEFINITELY agree about the ending. The film wasn't half bad...until....THE END! It was like they had absolutely no idea how to end it & just copped/sold out & slapped something together on the fly! GREATLY detracted from the film IMHO.

Hey Nikki, I hope all is well in your world. Gotta be better than mine at least haha. I'm popping in for the last time over the next 2-3 weeks as I'll be moving house (lucky me eh).
As for the movie theme that has been going on, not sure I could suggest much that you or the others wouldn't have seen as I'm not the biggest movie buff goin round. Except for some flicks from down under maybe....we do have the odd good one even if most are cringe worthy lol
'Rabbit Proof Fence' is a historical drama about 3 aboriginal girls in the 1930s.
'Once Were Warriors' is a New Zealand film about a Maori family where the father is an alcoholic and speaks with his fists. Quite powerful and sad, especially towards the end.
But both have good storylines and are worth watching if no one has never seen them before.
Finally I'd like to finish on a quick joke....
Mr and Mrs Blobby are in bed, Mrs Blobby says "blib blob bobble blub bibbly bob blubbly blib!"
Mr Blobby says "for Christ's sake just swallow it!".

Nikki, glad I could be of assistance on that side project for you! Glad to see happiness and positivity flowing into your life & I'm happy that, if even in a small way, I was able to play a part in it....it's AMAZING how things just seem to come together sometimes! Big love to you!
Anyway, I have another "great" announcement. If you will remember....I received a 2 point "demerit" way back in January (and like a little child, I went ballistic....being honest! Ha ha ha). Well, I guess the antibiotics finally worked....because as of 45 minutes ago....Jon is 100% demerit free!!!! Yipppeeee!!! See the positivity around here seems to know no bounds these days! Buckle up boys and girls, I see happier days ahead for everyone!
Now, I am still EXHAUSTED due to my "strange" sleep patterns the past day or so....soooo, I'm going back to bed!

Well as much as I would love to shoot with you, a trip of that distance, time , expense and magnitude is not as easy now that I am doing sveral things for a living. I write for several magazines and have deadlines. I am working on my first book which is a very involved and investigative undertaking that will become WAY more involved in a few months. I am also art directing in California etc and so on. It's all part of building the next phase/stage of my life. I can't be Nikki Nova forever. I can honestly say that I would truly love to but don't know how soon I can actually make it happen. That's the reality.
