New Trend: Slapping & *******

I've been watching porn a good portion of my life.. I'm 20 now and must have started somewhere around 11 or 12. Porn has changed a lot in since then (Thank God, no more big curly hair...) and I've noticed new trends... one of which is that the men are now slapping girls while they fuck them (not playfully on the ass, but across the face) and have their hands around their throats like their ******* the breath out of them. Does anyone else find this disturbing? Has porn just become a place for us to live out our **** fantasies? I gotta admit, as much as it turns me on, I can't hep but feel horrible that that sort of thing is sexy to me... I guess before I just sorta assumed "well it's all part of teh act and in good fun" but after seeing the prime time special yesterday it's been bugging me more and more.
