New Patent Policy on Natural Products Is a Game Changer

I didn't know natural substances could be patented until the new laws were passed 2 years ago.
I thought only processes or products that may include natural substances could be patented.

The new laws are good for freedom, but bad news for the corrupt greedy corporate assholes.
Patents are more often worth more than the actual products.
There are many companies whose only business is to buy as many patents as possible, then sue as many companies as possible for patent infringement, which usually ends up in a settlement costing the defendant hundreds of thousands or millions.
There are also companies who are trying to patent natural molecules, genes or DNA from an individual persons body.
These new laws will prevent those greed driven parasitic assholes from profiting off others peoples and natures work or DNA.

From living most of 40 years in Silicon Valley I've heard from several top designers & lawyers, about half of all patents are invalid. The patent office and laws can't keep up with the tech world.

Take anything bad that has happened throughout history, and you can trace it's root cause to be greed.
