:nono:

is that supposed to be funny ?

Maybe it's only a Rumor.

From Brazzers forum:

A couple things:

A. Naomi hasn't done porn in years iirc.
B. Neither has the bing she stoped doing porn to work at krispy kream since all her money went there so she decided to get paid and be near donuts.
C. Bing "retired" to do escort looks like a john paid a lil extra for some skin on skin. ( if it is true)

Yep'sss ,- Good News-> No News.

its so fucked up, cos the industry has been making every attempt to keep things 'safe' with all their precautions and insistence to use AIM. if you follow alot of these beauties on twitter you'll always see them tweet about going to AIM

i guess the thing is if they do alot of 'work' outside of the industry that kinda thing can't been monitored.

Upon further review, it appears as though everyone is getting ahead of themsevles here. The "16 cases" referenced in this thread are merely previously unpublicized cases that ocurred sometime between 2004 and 2008. A sizable portion of the affected performers were gay males. Although the data was just recently released, the cases themselves are old news by now. Most of the girls being listed in this thread are probably safe. One adult film actress tested positive earlier this month, and no one she worked with recently has tested postive thus far.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lan...m-performers-public-health-officials-say.html
Los Angeles County officials released public health data this afternoon indicating that 16 previously unpublicized cases of HIV had been confirmed in adult film industry performers since 2004 when an outbreak shut down porn production for a month.
The newly released data brings the number of known HIV cases in adult film performers to 22 since 2004, including a porn actress who tested positive late last week. At least 10 of those cases involved men who had sex with other men, according to health officials.

In all, 16 men and 5 women who worked as adult film industry performers contracted HIV between 2004 and 2008, according to Los Angeles County Department of Public Health data requested by The Times.

Between 1998 and 2003, 14 confirmed HIV cases were reported among adult film performers, according to the health department.

The previously unpublicized cases will probably shock adult industry workers, who repeatedly have described the new case as the first since 2004. It was not immediately clear whether any of the previously unpublicized HIV infections involved workplace transmission of the virus.

The link provided says they've both been confirmed to have HIV, but it doesn't follow that claim up and give actual evidence for the assertion. It then goes straight into the "16" new cases but with no names mentioned whatsoever. To me there does seem to be a sense of jumping the gun a little to early to create a story that can't be substantiated. Of course it might very well be true, but these links for the time being aren't the most reliable sources.

We know that there have been 16 new cases. But to put names to those cases - to me - seems a little premature. But as I say if there is a part in the link where those who are infected are specifically named and that their naming can be verified then I'll take off my sceptic's hat. But as of now the names listed just seem to have been put there for effect and to put a face on the incident. What I'm saying is, it may very well be true that the two specific performers have been infected, but there just isn't enough evidence forthcoming at the moment to take the article on face value.

16 new cases is bad enough. Naming those who "may" have it who seemingly haven't even confirmed it yet (given the information at hand) seems a little spurious.

i wouldnt give that much praise to the industry as they havnt made every attempt. condoms are rare in today's porn. the industry has been pressed about that aspect by the california labor board for years and the industry turns a very blind eye to it.

hiv testing is less effective than requirement for condom use.
hiv testing only says whether you have hiv or not, condom use is a proactive method. combine both and you have a much more effective effort against hiv. the industry knows it, but you know why they dont enforce it? money. condom porn doesnt sell near as much as non-condom porn. so the industry stance is, we'll risk it cos money is way more important than safety.

im just sayin...the industry isnt the knights in shining armor protecting the performers by any stretch of the imagination.

as far as the topic, i'd heard naomi dropped out and heard rumors that carmella had as well cos she could make way more money turning tricks. dont know how true that is, but i do know its sad to hear they have hiv. but then again, i think its sad when anyone gets hiv, pornstar or not.

I would say it's all bullshit, I could be wrong ofcourse.

I'm not calling any of it bullshit. I'm actually not taking one side or the other.

I'm just a little sceptical as to why there are names listed without any proof given to back up the claim. It just seems a little odd to me. It's all well and good throwing peoples names out there, but if you're going to take that step and name those you're reporting on you have to back you assertions up with facts. :dunno:

The industry, last I knew, tested every 2 weeks or 15 days, something like that. I don't know if that changed or not. Well given that is for the industry the employees within the industry should take personal tests on their own between the two weeks the industry gives tests.

Then tests will be given on weekly basis for anyone active in the industry. It might be a pain after a while, but if it were me, I would take the inconvenience over a lifelong STD any day of the week.

Sex is out there and so are STDs. That is that. Can either be aware and take steps to protect yourself or you can act like it will not happen to you and screw anyone that walks and take that risk. Just don't be shocked when you find out you have a STD.

Didn't Carmella already come back to the industry , though? Or did she drop out again?

I hope you're right. Has any OCSMs on here heard anything about this?
