New Call of Duty: World at War

I love COD 4 which my son and I both have for PS3, he now got COD5 for the X-Box and I love it just as much. It still has the same great online features that I loved with some changes that in my opinion top COD4. We played most of the missions in split screen and that was a lot of fun as well and the Nazi Zombies are fun as hell as well.
My son also got Gears of War 1 and 2 and Resistance 2 for Christmas (along with Motor Storm and SOCOM Confrontation) but we like COD5 the most. :nanner:
I got Tom Clancys End War which sucks in my opinion - I am on one of the first missions and can not beat that sucker :crashmajor no fun:thefinger) where I liked the voice command idea and you do need that feature because you have to react very fast, enemys are very fast and too many.

The game is fun, but the problem for me is that the game, even the whole engine was built to cater to a very specific type of game, that being the modern shooter of COD4. Unfortunately, trying to port it to WWII has just limited the game, which really makes me wonder why they didn't just start from scratch.

Why spend all that time and effort starting from scratch? They knew they'd make more money just porting it with minimal effort.

That's exactly what they tried to achieve and they did it. Good on them I say.

I understand financially in the short term why they would just ride Activision's coattails, however there is a bigger market for ingenuity in genres like WWII than there are in repeating a past game. COD4 was good because it basically started from the ground after COD2. My assumption was World at War would be the same using pieces of COD3, but if they want to cash in, I understand, but in the long run, that's kind of a failing strategy.

OMG Yes!! I play Hardcore so if I see anyone glitch I usually just teamkill them.. but yea, they need to fix them.. its so annoying getting knifed from someone who is underneath the map.

Nazi Zombie mode is damn hard. What's everyone's favorite level online? I prefer the Hangar on team deathmatch. Free for all, it's just too much for me! I can only play this when I'm at my friends place so I can't practice and get as good at it as alot of those other people are, they are insane on that game. We were looking at the rankings the other day, so many people have spent 20+ days playing it online since it came on on the 360 network. Fuckin' a. Get a life, maybe? It's only been out since NOVEMBER, seriously!
