As you all know, we upgraded the software yesterday and the new version has some pretty neat toys! Among which is the ability to customize your profile, leave comments for each other in the visitor message area, and leave picturs for each other in the visitor message area!
How to use the new features:
+ To customize your profile, go to your profile page and click on the "customize profile link." From there you'll have choices to make the different areas of your profile different colors and styles. You can also add a profile picture (the link under customize profile), but please observe the 100x100 pixel rule.
To see your profile as others see it, click on the white "your profile" link which is also the title for the first section the your control panel.
+ To add friends to your profile, you can do one of two things. You can either click on the person's profile you wish to befriend, then click "befriend (that person's name)" in their friends area, or you can go to the "contacts and friends" link under the Networking area of your profile options to fill in their name in the text bar.
At this point the person who you have befriended can accept or deny your request by going to the "manage friends request" link in their profile (note, this only shows up when there are pending friends requests).
+ To delete a friend from your profile, you must uncheck both boxes in their square under the contacts and friends link in the Networking section. Then hit save changes. You can also go to the "friends" tab and click the "break friendship" link.
+ To leave a visitor message, simply type what you want to say and hit post message! You'll be able to see everyone's messages left to this person, but if you want to see all the messages between yourself and a specific person, hit the "view your conversation with..." link.
You can also leave a pictures this way!
Board Rules Still Apply:
As with everything on the board, the board rules still apply and the mods and admins of the board can moderate your profile and visitor messages. This means no file sharing, password sharing, trying to get around the word filter, hotlinking photos (please host the picture somewhere), posting hardcore pictures, flaming, ect, ect, ect.
+ If you get a comment on your visitor message board that you want to delete, you can do so. However, please note that it is soft deleted which means you will never be able to get rid of it entirely unless you PM a moderator. This also means you can't cover your tracks if you're doing something you're not supposed to.
+ If someone leaves a comment that is against the rules or you think is abuse of the comments area, you can click the report link. You can also feel free to PM a moderator to give you a hand.
As with anything on Freeones, nothing is final. The new features are subject to change as problems and abuses come to our attention or modifications are made. Please feel free to leave suggestions or comments about these new features on this thread! We would love to know what you think!

Edit: A note about the tag features. Moderators and admins CAN see who left a tag. Leaving inapproperiate tags will result in a warning and if it continues to be abused, will probably end up in a ban. Please use common sense when leaving a tag, it's a great tool.
