New blue color scheme too bright

I prefer the old color scheme. The blues in the menu bars were darker and didn't hurt my eyes. My monitor is pretty dark as it is but even then the blues/cyans are boring into my brain.

Can you please make it darker or at least give us the option of picking something less bright?

I'm already getting a headache while just typing this message....
