So Jinxy, what do you think about the news that Pitt and Syracuse will be joining the ACC for certain.....and U-Conn and Rutgers could possibly be joining them in the future?
Now Pittsburgh & Duke will be conference foes in men's b-ball! Ha ha ha!
I also heard that they might move the ACC basketball tourney to Madison Square Garden (which is where the Big East has it).
Definitely a BIG day for the University of Pittsburgh......both academically & athletics wise!

I don't want the ACC Tourney to move. Greensboro has been the home for quite some time... why screw with tradition? :dunno:
I already told you my thoughts on "those teams" coming to my beloved ACC via Twitter.
Besides... what is the point of moving conferences? I mean, sure it may help in football somehow, but in basketball the big NCAA Tournament is a selection of all the teams in Div I, regardless of conference. Shouldn't all college sports championships be determined the same way?

As a fan and alum of a current ACC school, I find the addition of Pitt and Syracuse distasteful. The ACC is losing its southern roots and what we need is more/better football schools. Pitt and Cuse are "ok" but not great. We need more schools like FSU and Clemson. Pitt and Cuse are like...Maryland. Not even, really.

I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately, the ACC is more known as a basketball conference and less of a football power.
