New 007

I had heard that Clive Owen had the job...what the fuck !!!!

Getting tough to be a bond fan these days i hope the new one has more male hormones than Brosnan

I think Daniel Craig is gonna be a crap James Bond. He has no charisma and he's boring in real life.

Anyway i'm not really a big Bond fan, i'd much rather watch either of the Bourne films

I also think that :o
a come back of Sean Connery as an old 007 could be great, producers should think at it...

Man, has Daniel Craig got a big job ahead of him!!! Bad guy, yes... Good guy, I dont know.... Only time will tell.

Oh and Ben Affleck???? Give me a break!!!! the only reason he is famous is because of his friendship with Matt Damon and the fact that he has hooked up with one of the hottest females in Hollywood.... otherwise he would be a nobody with an alcohol and gambling addiction. :2 cents:

It's good to be the king...

I read that Kelly Brook is the new Bond girl.

French actress Eva Green will be the female lead in the new James Bond movie, Casino Royale.

The 25-year-old will play femme fatale Vesper Lynd in the movie, which will also see Daniel Craig's first performance as the suave secret agent.

Danish-born actor Mads Mikkelsen has already been confirmed for the role of Bond's nemesis, Le Chiffre.

You know, in one of the next Bond movies he will drive a car with built in time machine. That's why he never seems to grow old, he just travels through time and saves the world from those villains. :D

Btw., I love those movies, but Daniel Craig doesn't have that certain Bond something, IMO. I also have to admit I never heard of Eva Green before, which doesn't bother me.

:hatsoff: Jackson

Bond is an institution and must be preserved before anything else. No other action based film does it quite like a Bond movie, Bond films have a style that cannot be copied other films try to imitate such as Mission Impossible, XXX etc they don't come close imo.

Im not sure about Daniel Craig though, Pierce's shoes will be hard to fill but i keep my fingers crossed.
Long Live 007 (untill the day 007 has an american accent)

The thing you have to remember with all these Bond movies is that even though they are made like every 2-3 years, the actual first stories of the man himself is supposedly a continuation of a main story with his fight against Spectre. Then they continued into the cold war (Russia vs. The East), and now post cold war Brittan.

As far as a certain age for Bond? Not sure an actual age would be appropriate? The movies that have been made based on the books have not always been done in cronological order, so that leaves a blank for the ages he has been with the different changes in Bond actors.

Bond has been the longest running Movie franchise ever. And I hope it continues for many years to come.

I had hoped Casino Royal would have been directed by Tarantino but that's not a big deal. I hope the villain has a scheme and no "plans to conquer the earth and world domination". Remember DR.NO ? Bond didn't have to save the world back then, just stop the bad guy. Now of course I understand they always had to make the villains more evil every film but now that's hit a plateau and frankly we've gotten bored with that. I really hope they scale it down a bit. Craig David will probably be great as Bond even if Pierce was a great James Bond. I'm on meds ...did that make sense? I hope so.

When I first heard that Daniel Craig had been cast as Bond I thought it was kind of an odd choice. The only thing I could recall seeing him in was "Tomb Raider" where he played the "trying to be as pretty as, but not nearly as smart as" competitive tomb raider to Angelina's Lara Croft. I thought he did an admirable job, but nothing memorable.

Then I saw him in Steven Speilberg's "Munich".

This guy could be a GREAT BOND!

In "Munich" he plays a ruthless, cold, and tough as they come assasin. Bond may not be cold (but he is to his enemies) but he's definitely ruthless and as tough as they come.

Daniel Craig's performance in "Munich" reminded me of Connery's Bond. very much in control in any situation he was in and ready to take on anyone.

Good luck to him. I hope he does a phenominal job.

I like to think of it in the same way as some television shows, comics books, and some books where for the sake of the franchise you just need to suspend your sense of logic as far as the time line is concerned. It lets you enjoy it more.

BTW...does anybody think Craig looks a little like Bill Murray? Not exactly my idea of Bond but who knows it might work out.
