a few things i dont understand or werent made clear in the "Blog".
rush didnt pay for his medical care for this problem he had in hawaii?
I am assuming he did pay considering A) he is not a resident of hawaii, B) not employed there, C) a multi millionare.
he supposedly said he got the best health treatment in the world "right here in the United States of America."
"I don't think there's one thing wrong with the United States health system," Limbaugh said.
the article says Hawaii has pretty much had what amounts to universal health care since 1974.
pretty much? hmm?
i found this
Hawaiʻi's health care system insures over 95% of residents. Under the state's plan, businesses are required to provide insurance to employees who work more than twenty hours per week. Heavy regulation of insurance companies helps keep the cost to employers down. Due in part to heavy emphasis on preventive care, Hawaiians require hospital treatment less frequently than the rest of the United States, while total health care expenses (measured as a percentage of state GDP) are substantially lower. Given these achievements, proponents of universal health care elsewhere in the U.S. sometimes use Hawaiʻi as a model for proposed federal and state health care plans. Critics, however, claim that Hawaiʻi's success is due at least in part to its mild climate and to its isolated status and an economy based on tourism: businesses unhappy with paying the plan's premiums find it difficult to relocate elsewhere.[62]
insurance is provided by the employers there.
in my opinion its unfair and illogical to compare hawaii's system to the Obama proposed system for the entire country.
they are simply 2 different things.
in hawaii insurance is provided by employers.
the main source of revenue of these employers is tourism and exportation.
easy enough to pass the insurance cost off to the tourist.
hawaii also has a low unemployment rate and less % of single mothers.
it also says in hawaii insurance companys are "heavily regulated" to keep insurance costs down.
will the government also be heavily regulated in obamas plan?
its 2 different things. this article is bullshit and the writer is a bullshitter who is bullshitting.
