Need For Speed Shift - Anyone ordered it, too?

Hello,

I just ordered it via Amazon, because I am a major N 4 S fan, and I will get a new PC this week that can actually handle this game fluently

Anybody out there hot for this game, too?

I watched a trailer and a hundred screenshots and I am sooo hyped :nanner:

I havent even heard about it until right now but either way I am not into the NFS series anymore since I think they make way to many of them and dont focus enough on making one really good one

eh, the last couple NFS games have been complete shit. I'll rent it of course, but I don't hold out much hopes for it being very enjoyable.

Need for speed used to be a good series but this year is bad for the dev. Granturismo 5 and Dirt2 are gonna be huge. And for those stuck with nothing but xbox theres the mediocre Forza 3 coming this year too. :thefinger

Great game

But NFS Shift is about pure racing, and with fantastic grafix.

I got the N4S II and N4S Hot Pursuit, and I like both of them.

But I guess I will go and get me a Rallye / Cross-Country dirt track racing game, but I don't know which I should buy

Any tipps?

The last good NFS was NFS5: Porsche.
I must say I was expecting another rubbish NFS, but the latest trailers look quite descent! Check them out at gametrailers.com.

Normally the reviews are pretty accurate. But then again, it always comes down to how I like the game. I don't give a fuck what some jack ass who gets paid to play games says. I only care what I say! Also my friends hold more weight as to a game being good or not, before I play it, rahter than some overpaid douche!

I agree dude but like you said normally they are accurate and when a game,especially in the racing genre,gets a 6 or 7 I dont even read further into the review never the less rent it. So at least its a positive indication that one might like the game.

Not sure about which one to get. I have a PS3 and have the choice of either Dirt 2, NFS or Gran Turismo 5.

I'm personally not a fan of the last few NFS. This newest one looks similar to a new platform of Gran Turismo... oh well... I'm waiting for the newest Zelda.
