lakers suck. heat suck. i also think its disgusting they rewarded a team like the heat with a championship.

i dont know how the hell they are getting around salary cap but there needs to be a real cap and thats the end of it. that should be a part of the strategy of team building. there has to be something going on, they cant afford all these guys.

hopefully next season will actually be a fucking season and not this bullshit.

id like to actually see my team play.

It's called "Hockey". Check it out some time.

I'm not really a basketball fan by any stretch. I casually root for the Celtics, and even then, its because I like their cast of personalities, not the sport. I paid some attention to the last couple of rounds of the playoffs, and I came to 2 conclusions about the Heat:

1. I began to respect Lebron James a lot more. Because I never really watch, all I ever heard was criticism regarding him, mostly from fans who didn't like "The Decision". I didn't like it either. Mostly because he had to make it into a live television spectacle. I didn't really have a problem with him signing with a different team. Having heard all the negative stuff, I disliked him for the most part. However, after watching what he did, particularly in game 5 against the C's, I started to respect him a lot more. He clearly is an amazing player and physical specimen. Anyone who denies it is just plain butt-hurt.

2. Dwyane (Dwayne? D..D...Dwanye?) Wade is a bitch. Never had a reason to hate this guy, but after watching the last two series, he just strikes me as a total punk. Oh, and lose the fucking glasses, all of you.

The one and only.
Pacers, FTW!

I don't watch regular season NBA because it's boring as shit. Let me know when the playoffs roll around again so I can jump back on the bandwagon.

Let's go Raptors.

Let's... just not finish last again.. If that's alright with you, I mean...

You could, you know... go to a game sometime. If its not too mainstream for you, that is.

yeah, smart ass. ive actually been to a few hockey games. seen the l.a. kings here and there when i lived there. i understand hockey just fine, i just dont follow it, especially now that i dont have cable.

and... you dont just go to a game when you have no fucking idea whos on the team. the enjoyment of sports goes far beyond physically watching players play the game. theres that whole massive element of player personalities, personal stories, and comradery that you only learn and know about from regular watching.

unfortunately, i dont have the time or the money to get to games.

its all good and great to say get cable and go to games and stuff, but when you arent exactly rich, its not a reality. i can barley pay for my internet connection and only because i use it for work is why i have it. which i should be doing now.

i just dont wanna!! :bawling:

I'm looking for the Heat and Thunder to both be there again next year as serious contenders. I'm also eyeing the Bulls, Clippers and Knicks as possible contenders as well.

Unfortunately, I think it may be another sorry season for the Wizards. :dotdot:

Apparently Steve Nash has narrowed his list down to three teams: the Suns, Blazers and Raptors.

No possible way Steve Nash goes back to Phoenix. That team is not a contender, and being in the west makes it more difficult to rebuild in one or two years. The Thunder didnt get to where they are for 3 years, it takes time in the West and the Suns are a long way from contending. Steve Nash still has a couple of good years left in him, he can make a difference for a true contender. Maybe Phoenix will have a shot at Chris Paul when he comes up for FA...(everyone knows the Clippers will not pony up the money to resign him)

Who the top contenders will be depends on who handles roster tweaks best. OKC will have one more year of this core, Harden or Ibaka will be gone via FA, one of them will. They need to add some more depth to the bench. The Lakers need a true point guard, they have resources they need to get one through a trade, cause FA and the draft wont do the trick for them esp since they almost never have draft picks due to all the trades they make.

Should be a fun offseason to watch.

i always figured he'd retire a sun. unfortunately for him.

poor guy deserves a better team. rather, management without their heads up their asses.

This is why the news of his short list surprises me. He isn't going to win a title with any of the teams he's supposedly chosen. The Suns don't have the championship players to surround him with, the Blazers won't be a contender with him and the Raptors are as far away from a playoff team - let alone a contender - as physically possible.

I bet the Raptors have a better season than PHX and POR next year.

i dont understand phx. whoever makes their decisions are idiots. plain and simple, idiots.

i feel bad for nash. i really do.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Raptors are better than my Bulls next year. Rose isn't likely to be back at least until January-February and this is just a estimate. Deng is going to have surgery after he's done with the Olympics and he'll miss the start of the season. There will be a few roster changes as well because it's possible that neither Korver, Brewer, and Watson will be back. The Bulls will be lucky to at least get the 8 seed in the east next year. It's like we're basically starting over now
