I still haven't figured out what Myspace actually is. :ban:

Don't worry - I haven't even bothered trying to find out (gee, I think I'm becoming a Luddite in my old age.....:1orglaugh )

I'm afraid to put my personal info on myspace. After watching Dateline, I'm afraid I'll get molested!

That's the difference between us - I'm PRAYING to get molested!!

I don't get the whole MySpace thing. Most of the links I've clicked on from various forums take forever to load. It's like they have a 128K backbone server or something. Too many people have nothing to say or provide, so unless you're well known, then it seems kinda silly.

It kinda reminds me of those dreadful websites you find that people make from their personal ISP webspace. They have a couple pictures and tell everyone about themselves. Then you look at the counter and it says 000023 people have visited since 1998.

ive got one.....shock horror. [ gimme a holler if you wish, but beware, i might as well be a myspace whore

No I don't and it only seems to mainly be popular for kids.

I'm just going from personal experience and news articles. I am 34 and I don't know anyone and I mean anyone with a myspace account. On the other hand my daughter just turned 16 and she doesn't know anyone without an account.

oh ok. ive only got like 28 friends on mine, and i only ever talk to maybe 5 or so. so i guess i know where youre coming from. and i reckon most of it is just a massive popularity test to see who has the most friends and stuff.

I don't care for it as it is in no way protecting our children. I still say they can do more. My friends 13 year old went there and signed up saying she was 30. Only so she could get into adult profiles and hook up with older boys because her friend said they are "cool".

Upon checking it out for my friend, she doesn't do the computer thing. I have found the adults do the same. They sign up saying they are 15 so they can have access to the young ones. Then post pictures of a obvious 35 year old man even body parts and flirt on. Neither mods nor Admin do a damn thing about it.

Nope, I want no part of such a business. They don't deserve one click of mine to put a nickle in their pockets.

You're awfully naive if you think Admins will do something, anywhere and not only on MySpace.
You think teenagers dont sign up as adults on Yahoo to get access to age restricted groups? You think teenagers dont sign up as adults here in our own Freeones? I can say without a doubt that 75% of registered users are younger than 18.

There should have been two seperate internets from the start. The adults have themselves to blame because they are the ones that created the damn thing and made it so accesible to all ages.:crash: :crash: :crash:

Ahhh yes My Space...I find that it is a useful tool to keep in touch with your friends who live too far away to visit but crap man other than that it's just a matter of who is the biggest "My Space Whore" and who actually spends that much time working on a profile...
