What happened with your wisdom tooth removal?
Mine is going ok, but I do wish it'd hurry up. It's day 3 and most of the pain is gone but I still can't fully open my mouth, so I can't chew and I've discovered that I can't yawn. I'm really craving some real food like a big fat steak with lots of A1 sauce or a cheeseburger, or a sub, or pizza... anything but this yogurt and mashed potatoes. Grr. And I really want a cigarette
Suppose tomorrow I'd be good to go for a smoke, but I'm so worried about getting dry socket. Supposedly after 3 days you're in the clear, but... I dunno.

Yeah neither is yogurt but that seems to be the easiest to eat. I have the misfortunate of experiencing the lovely side effect known as trismus, aka lockjaw. So I've been eating mashed potatoes with melted cheese, different yogurt flavors, a little ice cream with chocolate syrup but that proved to be rather difficult and messy, and I attempted some noodle soup but swallowing the noodles whole wasn't fun. I really wanted some sort of meat, so last night I cooked up a few sausage links, cut them into teeny tiny pieces, then smashed them up into moosh, drizzled ketchup on top, and forked it into my mouth swallowing it whole. It was pretty good, but I ended up with bits of sausage trying to pry their way into the holes where my teeth used to be, so now I'm back to yogurt and mashed potatoes again.

i guess i was fortunate to have mine out while i was still in high school and living at home. i had someone else to deal with the food.

No and even if I did, I doubt I'd use it. I get so lightheaded from looking at it so I try not to look. I had to last night because I'm still using gauze and when I took the gauze out after eating the sausage, I saw the little bits of sausage on the gauze so forced myself to look in my mouth and rinse it out.

I know I don't even need to be using the gauze still, but I am so creeped out by this surgery that I'm scared to not have gauze. I don't want to feel it or see it. It's still bleeding a little too. Not much, but definitely noticeable because every time I change the gauze, the top of it is splotched red. So the top extraction site is still bleeding a little and the bottom isn't, which is weird since the bottom one was a bigger tooth and more difficult to extract since it was impacted. The top tooth was only half a tooth- it used to be a whole wisdom tooth, but a few months ago it totally chipped in half. Then again, they didn't put any stitches in the top, they only did the bottom, so that might have something to do with it.
