Muslim Imam from Virgina speeks out about Ft. Hood

(sorry, tech glitch)

Don't give him his martydom and his virgins. That is what he wants. Let him rot.

He might be full of god now and thinking his psyche is indestructible. Play him a tape recording of a screaming mother crying for a dead son for a few hours a day for the next ten thousand days see how he feels about his life then.

I hope he never sees daylight again but killing him is not the way to go.

yea mrs jolly is right, considering he probibly expected to die, and be a martyr

I see most of the comments seem to point to Islams intolerance. Its is not Islams intollerance of things, Islam is very tolerant of many things.

The problem seems to be the extreme minority always seem to command the media interest, we never hear the more balanced view. Majority of muslims would not condone the behaviour of people doing this sort of thing in anyway shape or form, since there is no justification for it.

The simple fact of the matter is that if you dont like your situation then you have got the choice of quitting (he could have just left the army at the earliest opportunity). Islam in no way preaches this type of indiscriminate killing, instead this is simply something that extreme individuals/groups use to justify their own sick and twisted interpretation of what they think is a reflection of reality.

I really dont know why the majority of you get into the religious/political arguments without taking more balanced views. :dunno:

If you don't like it then leave. Your not going to change someones views with hatred.
Yes thats my point exactly
We should start hanging traitors again... but that's another topic.

The problem with the Qaran is it promises heavenly reward for killing "infidels." That is something VERY different than any other major religion.
Where exactly did you find that information from? I would verify that again, or better still get a view from a more moderate source.:dunno:
I think that the lack of adaptation and integration of muslims in a christian religious based society is more difficult than one would admit.
Could the same not be said perhaps about the Jewish faith?
Brings up an interesting question: Can a "tolerant" society accept people who preach intolerance?

No it's not. Just like all Christian do not want to assassinate abortion doctors.
A voice of moderation.:hatsoff:

Good question, indeed. What should we do with Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Lou Dobbs, Michael Savage, Neal Boortz, Sean Hannity, etc. ???

...in ADDITION to the actual preachers of various faiths who preach intolerance...

:dunno:

Our society has always tolerated intolerant speech. There are many examples of those who say similar things and much worse.

We've seen intolerant speech made against minorities, doctors, religions, etc. Intolerant acts are what we don't tolerate.

BTW, before any righties start bawling and whining, the question in my last comment ("What should we do about Rush Limbaugh... etc.??") was purely rhetorical. NO, I'm not even HINTING that they should be "shut down" or that their speech should be restricted or suchlike.

But don't let that stop anyone from their boilerplate "Fairness Doctrine!" screed.
