Movies that you like that most people hate

If you like that, you really should check out (if you haven't already) Bad Taste and Braindead, both by Peter Jackson before he left NZ for Hollywood and got famous.

Ah, a Peter Jackson (at least early stuff) fan! I mentioned Braindead above and also enjoyed Bad Taste. Do you also like Meet the Feebles? I sure do. Jackson has (had) a taste for delightfully guilty subject matter.

A.I.

Elizabethtown

I like these two. Well, what I saw of Elizabethtown I enjoyed - I was busy between the ex-gf's legs for the better part of the movie. I own A.I. - it's so damn sad, it makes me almost cry every time.

Same here. It's on my all time top 10 favorite movies.I really don't understand why the "critics" didn't like it,not like I really give a shit about what the critics say anyway, but still,it was a great movie.

Oh,and why are people starting to put t.v. shows on there list now?

Some other movies of mine

Hostel 2
I (Heart) Huckabees
Daredevil

I love both of these movies. I'm actually a huge fan of the Daredevil movie.

One of my guilty pleasures: Imitation of Life

You mean the 50s one with Lana Turner? I like that also.

My guilty pleasures are the sci-fi films of the 50s.The John Agar ones like " Brain from Planet Arous" and "Tarantula" as an example.

This thread is about movies that most people hate. Half of the ones that you mentioned are among the most popular movies ever. Forrest Gump, for instance, didn't win a shitload and a half Oscars because people hated it. :2 cents:

Hiliary 2020
Come Back Little Sheeba
Gay title yes, but excellent flick
Burt Lancanster is a middle-aged ,recovering alcoholic who lives alone with his wife.(shirley Booth)
He hasn't touched a drop in years but keeps a bottle in the cupboard to remind him of how alcohol ruined his life.
Hers where it gets good, they decide to take in a border. A smokin hot 19 years old college girl with big, beautiful, pointy breasts. (Terry Moore).
This drives Burt mad with desire and he gets loaded and goes nuts.

The little girl who lived down the lane 1976 Jodie foster, Martin Sheen
Bad Ronald ( made for tv 1975.)
Awesome flics. Check em out

Yellow Submarine (my kid and I sing all the songs at the top of our lungs)

I own copies of all these, and love to watch them over and over.

Love both Bill and Ted movies, same for Wayne's World. If ya don't have fun, why waste time watching a flick?
I still feel that thrill after I watch A.I. ...after all, Blade Runner, my all time favorite movie, was a flop in '82. I like the narrated version best; I read the source book "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?", and still love to watch the movie 26 years after it came out.
Fuck the critics, quality of production doesn't make a great flick.
